- NON VIOLENCE has been made into a VIRTUE ... That's probably the reason why PEOPLE DO NOT GET THE IDEA!
In fact, to be VIOLENT is NOT NATURAL.... it is SICK. Most humans are normal but afraid to admit it..... NON VIOLENCE has been glorified and given the status of GODLINESS..... this actually scares people away .... people prefer to be human. Believe it or not - a majority of people are not pretentious.... they just go with the tide!
We, the advocates of NON VIOLENCE should tell people quite simply that this is NORMAL HUMAN THINKING. The choice is between being SICK and VIOLENT and being WELL and NON VIOLENT.

- Passionate non-violence advocate, I study the works of Dr. King, Ghandi, Marshall Rosenberg and many others. I often feel misunderstood as the general idea about pacifism is that it is a touchy-feely irrational denial of the true evils in the world. However, my decision to become non-violent was and is one of passionate protest against the current conflict management strategies of society. I believe in compassion, empathy, restorative justice, and I hope there is a chance that the people of the future will have had their fill of barbarism and instead turn to humane ways of meeting the needs of safety and freedom that we all share.
